Blokdegal is a clean industry and environmentally friendly
BLOKDEGAL’s commitment to the environment is clear and is one of the pillars that govern its actions.
The granite extraction process is carried out within the framework of an exploitation project and an environmental report that are previously approved by the different administrations.
The stone is cut cleanly and safely with diamond wire and water. Energy consumption is very low. CO2 emissions are practically zero, as confirmed by regular studies and measurements. No pollutants are used.

All the stone extracted in our quarries is used, either as a block for subsequent transformation, or as masonry or sandstone, thus avoiding the generation of waste.
The work in our quarries is carried out in accordance with the previous Environmental Assessment Plan. In addition, there is a Quarry Restoration Plan, guaranteed by a guarantee, to proceed with the rehabilitation of the natural space once the quarrying is finished.

SOCIAL COMMITMENT
BLOKDEGAL, aware of the use of a mining resource, understands that it must have a firm commitment and active participation with the society around it.
As a result of this commitment to society, training projects have been developed, collaborating on numerous occasions with the University of Vigo and the School of Mining Engineering, both for the development of R+D+I projects and for participation in training conference cycles.

BLOKDEGAL SA establishes this policy of its Sustainable Mining Management System (SGMS) appropriate to the nature, scale and impact of our activity, referring to our facilities and activities of Rosa Porriño granite extraction and supply activities.
